Through Others' Eyes

I have fifteen years in AA and have been pretty involved in meetings and service, but sometimes I get a little tired of it all. I've heard it all, over and over again. I've watched people come and go and come back again (the lucky ones). But I recently had the opportunity to see AA through new eyes and found an organization which I can be proud of. I was recruited by my home group to take medical students to meetings as a way of introducing them to AA so that when they are doctors maybe they will consider referring alcoholics to AA. It seemed like a good thing to do, and not too much work.
