More about sex

I just finished reading "Now About Sex" in the February Grapevine. I was very disturbed by what I read. The thinking that newcomers should not get into a relationship in their first year of sobriety has been sneaking and pushing its way into Alcoholics Anonymous for years. Where is this heavy-handed advice found in the first 164 pages of the Big Book? The chapter "How It Works" talks about sex at length and says nothing about staying out of relationships in the first year. It does, however, warn against hysterical advice, starting on page 69: "God alone can judge our sex situation. Counsel with persons is often desirable, but we let God be the final judge. . . . We avoid hysterical thinking or advice."
