No absolutes in AA
There are no absolutes in AA. I just celebrated eight years of sobriety and I've never had a sponsor. I go to meetings, have a strong support group, and talk to someone when I have a problem that seems overwhelming. This is not to say I don't believe in sponsorship, but I do believe that it is not for everyone and that not everyone feels the need to have a sponsor.
