Room for the real world

A concern I have is that AA is becoming too homogenous. Meetings tend to have the flavor of pureed peas, with participants afraid to say or do anything that smacks of controversy. For example, some groups have opted to exclude the recitation of the Lord's Prayer since it is a "Christian" prayer.
