Out Of Marriage Into Love

The key lay in the First Tradition, putting their common welfare first

When I had been sober four years, I remarried. I met a woman with whom I wanted to grow old and had a beautiful seven-year-old stepdaughter. In my AA life I didn't exactly walk on water, but I was generally a well-behaved member of our society. At home, while I was loving and devoted, I was also given to displays of temper. I ruled the house with my anger, as my father had when I was growing up.
