Young and innocent

In "Far From Innocent" (March 2003), the writer has a complaint with older members telling him how lucky he is that he didn't have to go through what they did. He is lucky. I, for one, won't stop telling younger AAs that. Reminding them of the ten or fifteen years of literal hell they were smart enough to avoid is probably the best service I can offer. All the older members are trying to do is help save young AAs from going back out for many more years of infinite suffering--which is exactly what awaits them. I'm sorry the writer doesn't feel lucky. He should.
