Ghosts

A meeting haunted by hope

I still see them. In the reality of my memory they will always be alive. When I close my eyes at certain meetings I remember where they sat. I still hear them. Their advice still echoes in my head. I was young then and they were old. Now I am old and they are gone and I miss them more than I can share. I never thought I'd still recall the words they burned into my brain. Yet here I am, more than two decades later, telling the new members about the old-timers with their tough ideas and descriptive names.
