A speeding truck delivers a sobering message

This Monday ended like most Mondays--a long day at work, then late dinner with the wife, and a call from my sponsor, Jack, inviting Albert and me to a meeting out of town. On the way to our meeting that evening, we had a beautiful drive, with the sun setting, and three hang gliders sailing in the Texas blue. I asked Jack and Albert to look, but Jack, who was driving, said he couldn't because a truck was right on our bumper. The truck passed us at a high speed, swerving back and forth with an empty trailer in tow. We thought to ourselves, This guy's been drinking. But it was back to the hang gliders, and then dust in front of us, and the wreck we all had hoped wouldn't happen.
