The AA Grapevine Carries the Message

Before my relapse and arrest on March 23, 2002, I had been sober for eighteen months. I was living in eastern Long Island, had a home group, a sponsor, and lots of support. Then I moved to Florida to be with my son. All the people close to my recovery told me it was too early to take on the responsibility of being a father, a boyfriend, and a step-father. But the addict in me took over once again. I closed my ears to all advice and moved to Florida.
