Recently, I asked a long-term member who no longer attends meetings why she no longer shares her experience, strength, and hope. Her answer was, "Drinking is no longer an issue in my life." That started me thinking about my sobriety and why I still attend meetings after twenty-plus years in the program. I need the meetings to keep my life level and livable.
