The history of AA has been one of consistently crossing new frontiers. One of the first examples--and still one of the most challenging--is that of transcending the isolation of the suffering alcoholic. That happened almost 70 years ago when Ebby T. called on his old friend Bill W. while Bill sipped his gin.
