I am writing to tell of my appreciation for AA and the Grapevine. I am currently incarcerated as a result of "seeing if it gets better." It doesn't. We have access to one meeting a week in here, but the outside AAs who speak at the meeting bring in Big Books, Grapevines, and other AA literature. We take the literature back to our units and pass them among ourselves. Several of us end up discussing the stories we read. In addition, "Ham on Wry" provides some comic relief in a stressful situation. Thank God for AA and the Grapevine. They have helped me and others to become free even behind bars.
