We Needed the Job
An anecdote about action
I had my latest drink (and last, with the grace of my Higher Power and the help of Alcoholics Anonymous) on Friday, July 13, 1979. My first meeting was a Monday night speaker meeting. I arrived after the meeting started, just so I could say I went, but the person on the intergroup phone did not mention that drunks hang around after the meeting. They got me!
