Marriage, One Day at a Time

Thirty-some years ago, when I was the Center of the Universe (i.e. drinking and drugging), I had an affair with a friend's wife. I was married and a father, but that didn't stand in the way of my getting what I wanted when I wanted it. It ended horribly, of course, with pain for everybody involved, especially those who were the innocent victims. Many years later, both of us single, my one-time lover and I rediscovered each other, sober.
