Another story

When my brother-in-law was in the army, he was in the field a lot, leaving my sister alone with the baby. My sister was drinking excessively and reached out to the local AA for help. Because they did not have extra money for a babysitter, my sister had to take my nephew to her first AA meeting, where she was told that she was welcome, but my nephew was not, and that she could not attend meetings unless the baby was left at home. As we know, it took a lot of courage for her to take that first step, only to be told she could not continue on the journey of sobriety. It took her eleven years of misery to find her way back to the doors of AA again.
