Recently, an intergroup in this area adopted the position that times and locations of closed AA meetings should not be published in newspapers. I believe that this is an extreme interpretation of the Eleventh Tradition, which, if implemented universally, can only impede our efforts to carry the message to the alcoholic who still suffers.
