A new routine

I am a grateful recovering alcoholic and today is a beautiful day. Today I enjoy a glass of orange juice for breakfast, not a bottle of beer. My kid says good morning to me with respect not fear. The first thing I see in the morning is my wife's beautiful face, not the bottom of the toilet bowl. I am now part of a fellowship of friends who extend their hands with care, compassion, and love, not for what they can get out of my pocket. I now seek the solution, not the problem. Whatever challenges I may encounter are minimal because I hand them over to my newfound friend, God.
