Ready to Surrender

I am an alcoholic and chemically-dependent inmate. I've been in treatment time after time, and in and out of jail and prison for much of my life. Alcoholism and drug addiction have destroyed my life. I have a great family that supports me and wishes the best for me, but I drank so much that I lost all my friends and most of my family. Then I drank myself into a blackout and woke up to realize that I had gone on a crazy rampage and pointed a gun at a friend. I'd been shooting at river rafters who were floating down a river. I had pointed the gun at some rollerbladers and finally assaulted people in a family restaurant. The embarrassing part of the whole thing was the headline that read: "Big Mac Attack--Fast Food Wasn't Enough for Gunman."
