Old-timers: the Ambassadors of AA

When I first came to AA in the late 70s, I can remember being greeted by those I have come to think of as the Ambassadors of AA--those old-timers who met me at the door and did their best to make me feel at home. They asked if I was new and told me that if I thought I had a problem with alcohol, I was in the right place.
