Sober in Baghdad
I am currently stationed at one of the many camps the U.S. has built on the outskirts of Baghdad. I recently approached my superiors and asked for permission to put up some discreet signs like "Friends of Bill W., contact me at--." I was told no, because there is zero tolerance here for drinking. I replied, "The meetings are something I do at home, and have done for years, and I want to start one here." The answer: "Sorry, pal. Can't do it."
