There can be no way to erase a crime of the past, but there is recovery

On December 23, 2002, I was on my way back from playing Santa Claus for some children at a shelter when my worst nightmare came true. A man that I had beat up while under the influence some fourteen years before had finally passed away. I'd spent ten years in prison because of the assault. Now I faced a murder charge.
