Hanging in the entryway of the home it was held in was a large outline of a tree, with Bobba's name on the trunk. Three main branches from the trunk extended to represent Bobba's sponsees. Branching out from them were many bare limbs and twigs. As they arrived, each guest wrote his or her name and sobriety date on a green, leaf-shaped piece of paper. When they had finished, there were over seventy leaves on the tree. It was all the result of one person passing it on to another.
