Real life behind the legend
I would like to respond to the letter "Problems Other Than Alcohol," in the July 2004 Grapevine. The author calls the story of a sponsor directing a sponsee to stop taking medications a "legend." However, as a member of AA with eighteen years of sobriety and as a former counselor for adults with mental illness, I have seen real-life versions of this.
