It's a tool

The writer of the article, "Has Singleness of Purpose Become Narrowness of Purpose?" seems to have missed the point. The blue card is a tool used to define the difference between an open AA meeting and a closed AA meeting. At the open meeting, anyone is welcome: reporters, law enforcement personnel, drug addicts, even alcoholics. At a closed meeting, all the same people are welcome if they call themselves alcoholics.
