I enjoyed the article "Welcome to the Big Top" in the April 2004 issue. I've been to "special interest" AA meetings, but I find I like the energy of the open mix of regular meetings. As an elementary school teacher, however, I am apprehensive about meeting a student at a meeting. (I got over being afraid to meet the parents of kids I work with and have met a few.) As far as I know, there is no meeting for recovering alcoholic teachers where I live. If there were, I might try one.
