Snow Or Show

The big snow of the year is finally here--all fourteen inches of it. As I watch the snow fall, I remember when I would sit in this very spot on the couch with a bottle of schnapps in my hand, only to wake up much later in the night crumpled sideways on the couch where I had passed out. If I was lucky, I would have put the cap on my bottle before I fell sideways. If not, I was in trouble if I didn't have another bottle stashed somewhere.
