On the Fly

I was a traveling drunk. There isn't an airport bar, hotel lounge, or convention center watering-hole that I didn't know about. In most cases, I was known--and remembered--after just one visit to these bars. They usually started out okay. I'd be with a group, or if I wasn't, it wouldn't be long before I formed one. The first few drinks were always just the thing for the beginning of a nice, relaxing evening among friends and customers. Laughs, good times, interesting people, exciting stories, travel, and adventure. Man, what a life!
