In the Land of Ice and Snow

Members of Alcoholics Anonymous go to any lengths to stay sober and carry the message of AA to fellow alcoholics. But last spring, Robert P., regional trustee of Eastern Canada, had an opportunity to go a little farther than most of us do. At the invitation of the Nunavik Regional Board of Health and Social Services, he traveled far above the tree line and beyond the reach of roads to talk about AA in seven small Inuit villages on the northern rim of Canada. A few months after his return, he discussed this extraordinary journey with the Grapevine.
