The Perfect Curve" in the November 2004 issue struck a nerve regarding anonymity. After reading it, I attended an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting to celebrate a friend's anniversary. Another man, also celebrating, introduced me as the counselor he had seen six years before. He was celebrating four years, so it came as no surprise when he announced that he had gotten over on me and all the time he had been in my care he had been secretly drinking.
