Road block

On a recent job-related work trip, blinking lights from oncoming traffic indicated that the law was probably not too far ahead. It was--at a roadblock. Not to worry: I was traveling under the speed limit and as sober as a recovering drunk can be. I had my license and registration out as I rolled to a stop. I lowered my window and the trooper floored me by asking, "How much have you had to drink? I said, "Officer, I don't drink." He smiled like he had heard that one before and said, "I smell alcohol!"
