Let It Begin with Me

O My name is Jim Estelle and I'm a grateful nonalcoholic. The fact that you all have let me share your joy in sobriety for some twenty or twenty-five years has allowed me to survive in what has become increasingly hazardous work. It got so hazardous last January that I decided to retire from it. I have thirty-two years of experience in corrections and very little expertise. If there were any experts in the business of corrections, I'd have had to go to work for a living about twenty-five years ago.
