A Postscript from the Sergeant

This is a postscript to an experience I had last year in Iraq. After a couple of months with no contact with the rest of the world (I was on deployment in Al Asad, Iraq), I wrote to the Grapevine and received a note from the office thanking me for my story and saying that if it was printed, I'd received a copy of the issue. I figured that was that; I had tried to carry the message.
