AA scores points for being cool

What kind of parent would I be if I were still drinking? I shudder to think. My wife and I were both six years sober when we decided to start a family. We prayed about it, talked to sponsors, planned, and prepared. Even then, we were overwhelmed by how much our lives had changed. If I were drinking, there would've been no forethought, no planning. I would've stumbled into parenthood like I stumbled into everything else. "You're what? Pregnant?"
