There is a time

I tried to find an example that would help explain rotation in Alcoholics Anonymous, and the best analogy I could find was "crop rotation." Growing up on the prairies, I learned that growing different crops on the same land on a two or three-year rotation helps to improve soil fertility, reduces erosion and the build-up of pests, and spreads the workload and increases profits. The more I thought about it, the more I could see how rotation in AA helps to keep our service structure fertile. It increases productivity, reduces egotism, handles any build-up of personalities, welcomes and encourages new gifts and talents, and increases effectiveness.
