Tradition Seven: Contributions: One Member's Perspective

While attending a recent weekend AA conference, I became embroiled in a confrontation about the practice of buying raffle tickets from numerous members of the host conference committee. I declined buying tickets my first night there. I said I didn't have any money to do so, which was true at that time. The following day, I brought money but still declined because I didn't feel comfortable doing so.
