Welcome To Leetown

Where a hug and a handshake keep you coming back

I have been in AA for over sixteen years and have experienced the Fellowship in the four states I have lived in during that time: California, Florida, Virginia, and West Virginia. Early on, ever since I heard about "greeters," a service position in which one or more persons have the "job" of welcoming people as they walk into the meeting, I've always thought this a wonderful way to start any meeting. Let's face it, some of us walk into meetings scared, depressed, angry, or overwhelmed. We need a welcome. No place is this welcome warmer than the Step meeting that takes place every Tuesday night in Leetown, West Virginia.
