Moving On

I first came to "Ron's Group" in early 1996, not long after I moved to the area. That wasn't the name listed in the meeting directory, but people sometimes called it that. Ron and some other members founded the meeting ten years before. He was the charter old-timer, with thirty years under his belt when I met him. The group was a bit unusual, because most of the members had at least a decade of sobriety, and nearly all of them showed up every Wednesday night.
