Dr. Alcoholic

September 9, 1993, iwalked into my first AA meeting. It was a doctor's only meeting, International Doctors in Alcoholics Anonymous (IDAA). I was mortified. These were doctors I worked with. What would they think of me and how could I ever face them in the halls of the hospital again? It never once occurred to me that they were there, too.
