Cross talk thoughts

I have been sober since 1968. What is called "cross talk" today saved my life. When I got sober, I went to meetings every day and I would say what was on my mind. Invariably, someone who had been sober for a while would get right on it and say some things that angered or upset me. I was told that if it did not apply to me, there was no reason for my fur to be ruffled. But, if it ruffled my fur, I had better give it some attention. They made statements that made no sense to me, but this did not mean that they did not make sense--it just meant that I didn't understand what they were talking about.
