In recruiting service people, may I suggest not trying to make people feel obligated? Phrases like, "AA saved your life; now it's payback time," sent me screaming. "Service keeps you sober, do it for yourself, service is part of your spiritual awakening." Pick your spin--just don't make it sound like work!
