When i came to aa, iknew I had a problem with booze, but I was reluctant to admit I was an alcoholic. To me, an alky was a stereotype: a white man over fifty wearing a smelly old trench coat, lying in a bus shelter, and holding a bottle of cheap wine in a paper bag.
