An AA extends a hand and stays sober on the streets

A few months ago, i came across an announcement asking my fellow AAs to take part in the corrections correspondence program, because of there was an enormous backlog of inmates waiting for alcoholics on the outside to share their experience, strength, and hope with inmates inside the walls. As soon as I saw it, I got a smile on my face. Then, as fast as it came, the smile left.
