An AA remembers his first call on a wet drunk

My first few months of recovery in AA were a flurry of activity. I went to meetings every day, talked to my sponsor constantly, and did lots of service in my home group. But the idea of participating in a traditional Twelfth Step call frightened me. I didn't know anything and barely understood how I'd gotten to Alcoholics Anonymous. What kind of message could I carry to anyone else if I was just beginning to understand it myself?
