Alcoholism At Large

Although the grapeviNE has received requests for articles on a number of topics over the years, few topics have been more frequently or passionately requested than information on alcoholism itself. Recently, an AA wrote to express her feeling about including such information in the magazine. She wrote, "When I first 'came to' in AA and read the Doctor's Opinion, it was like connecting the dots--So that's why I act this way, I thought. It explained why I could not stop drinking on my own will power. Perhaps family members, professionals, and others interested may also connect why their patients or loved ones can't stop, either. Isn't reinstating a section on alcoholism a responsible thing to do?"
