A dad admits defeat

Fifty-two sunday afternoons ago, I was alone in the house with my five-year-old daughter. Well, almost alone--I had my half-gallon of vodka, with another half-gallon of rum as a backup. After all, it was Sunday. I knew I wasn't supposed to drink in front of the kids, or when I was the "responsible" adult in attendance. It was my life, right? I was, after all, an adult.
