A reunion in recovery

When I was sixteen years old, I relinquished my child to an adoption agency, in order that he be placed with a loving family. The emotional and spiritual pain of this decision drove me into the bottle. I drank until the night alcohol did not dull the grief that welled up within me. I turned to Alcoholics Anonymous.
