Our "second families" are those we come to know so well in the program. If you sponsor someone, sooner or later that sponsee may have a sponsee, too. Pretty soon you think of people as "grand-sponsees" or "grand-babies." Nan added Judy to her "sponsor team" sometime in the late 1970s; Sherrie added Nan in the mid-1990s. At this point, like many long-timers, we actually sponsor each other.
