At my home group, the greeter has to have at least ninety days of sobriety. I had less than two weeks when my sponsor asked me to stand outside after the meeting had begun. If anyone showed up late asking if there was a meeting, I was to ask if he or she wanted to talk to someone about AA. Then I was to go signal for my sponsor or his fiancee to come chat with the newcomer.
