Scaling the Heights

Sharing sobriety and fellowship on an Alaskan glacier

Dano, Sean, Paul, and I had been flown a little over halfway up the Matanuska Glacier to attempt Marcus Baker (elevation 13,126 feet) in the Chugach Mountains of Alaska. We were there for a climb, yet even more, we were there for the fellowship, to simply experience this: four sober men doing a climb together on a big mountain in Alaska.
