Hope softens the pain
Several years ago, my husband was murdered. Friends in the program stayed with me over the next days and weeks so I wouldn't feel alone. One member even said, "When it gets too heavy for you, give it to me and I will carry it for a while." Impossible, but it sounded so thoughtful.
